Welcome to Custer County Secondary School

Dear Bobcat Community,

Before I begin to speak about our school, I wanted to say thank you.  As my family and I have settled in the valley, I’ve been amazed at the welcome we’ve received from neighbors,

students, parents, teachers, and other community members. Thank you for making my wife, children, and myself feel at home.

That being said, may I be the first person to say welcome back!  Even though we all enjoy our summer, I can’t wait to get started this upcoming school year.  As this year begins, I

want to direct my thoughts to students.  A new year means a new beginning. It is a chance to push ourselves to new limits, a chance to build on the successes from last year, and learn from some of our mistakes.  I encourage you to bring your best self to school this year.  I would push you to learn as much as you can, investigate items you are curious about, try new activities, and to read books that introduce you to new people and places.  Let’s make this year your best year

yet.

To the families of our students I want to thank you in advance.  Thank you for believing in us as a school.  We can assure you that we believe in your student.  Thank you in advance for helping your child at home by helping them with homework and also supporting the lessons taught at school.. Thank you for assuring your student arrives to school on time and ready to learn. Thank you for supporting their numerous extracurricular activities that help build them as

people.  We cannot do what we do without your support. Furthermore, if a question or concern arises, please do not hesitate to reach out to me.  My door is always open and I welcome the opportunity to work together for the growth of your student.

We’re so excited to have you back!  We’ll see you soon!

Sincerely,

Jack Christensen

High School Principal/Athletic Director
