E-Rate Funding Year 2021

Funding Year 2021 RFP

Funding Year 2021 Question & Answer

Q:  Where would Ethernet transport be to/from?

A:  We are looking for a dedicated fiber connection with the indicated minimum speed internet to be delivered to the district designated location within the main school building.  The school district will handle all internal connections.

Q. There are questions around the router. Do you have information you can provide on the current router needing to be replaced or the specs needed on the new router?

A. The original project was allowing for over-engineering. As long as all aspects of the project can be completed using vlans, we will not need to include a router; which is the preferred approach.

Q:  Are you able to give a little more detail on the UPS units specs, and perhaps delivery timeline?

A:  This is an example of a unit that we currently use in classrooms that would meet the desired criteria:

- 1500VA / 865W Backup Battery Power

- 10 Total Outlets (NEMA 15-15R): 5 Battery Backup and surge protection, and 5 Surge-protection only

- Automatic Voltage Regulation (AVR) instantly corrects low/high voltage fluctuations, and is Active PFC compatible

- 6' Power Cord with NEMA 15-15P wall plug.

Q:  Do you have a rough idea of the expectation of delivery of the UPS units?

A:  The expectation of delivery would be by August 2, 2021.

Funding Year - 2016

Vendor questions and responses:

Vendor question #1:

Dell is interested in bidding on the 470 request for category 2. Is the school willing to accept a hardware only bid without cabling?

Response to Vendor question #1:

Assuming that we can accept a bid from another vendor for the cabling this could be possible; but preference would be given to complete network solutions as cost considerations would have to be given to additional work necessary to make the solution work.
